Connect OpenAI to Draftt to discover and govern the AI models used across your organization. Draftt monitors model usage, lifecycle risks, and costs alongside the rest of your technology stack.
You need an OpenAI organization Owner to create an Admin API key. Configure the key with Read only permissions for this integration.

What you’ll need

  • Access to the Draftt dashboard with permission to add integrations.
  • An OpenAI organization Owner who can create an Admin API key.

Set up OpenAI

1

Name your integration

In Draftt, go to Integrations > OpenAI > Add. Enter a descriptive name to identify the integration in your dashboard.
2

Generate an Admin API key

Open the OpenAI Admin API keys page and select Create new admin key.
  • In Name, enter draftt-admin-key.
  • For Expiration, select Never.
  • Under Permissions, select Read only.
  • Select Create admin key, then copy the key.
OpenAI displays the key only once. Store it securely. If you lose it, create a new key.
3

Connect OpenAI

Paste the key into the Admin API Key field in Draftt, then complete the setup.

Verify your connection

After setup, return to Integrations > OpenAI in Draftt. A Healthy status means Draftt can access your OpenAI organization and is syncing as expected. If the integration is Unhealthy, verify that the Admin API key is valid, has Read only permissions, and has not expired or been revoked.
